Kite Obsession is a kitesurfing school in Tarifa specialising in safe and progressive kitesurfing instruction, with IKO- and FAV-certified instructors and state-of-the-art equipment.
With over 20 years’ experience in Tarifa, we offer kitesurfing lessons for beginners, intermediate and advanced levels, as well as equipment hire and personalised training. Our approach combines practical on-water training, safety and adapting to each student’s pace, making the most of the area’s unique wind conditions.

Desde Juan quien estuvo atento constantemente a que estuviésemos cómodos, adaptando los horarios a las condiciones climáticas, siempre disponible a resolver dudas, hasta jorge que sin duda no pudimos tener mejor instructor, con una paciencia, carisma, una entrega profesional y amable.
El equipo de primer nivel, el compañerismo entre todos los de la escuela, las risas, y el elogio a cada logro, hizo que fuesen unas vacaciones increíbles!,.

Safety in our kitesurfing courses in Tarifa
Our courses include:
- Walkie-talkie communication: students are in constant contact with their instructor whilst practising in the water.
- Support and rescue boats: we have several boats stationed near the sailing area to provide immediate assistance and ensure a safe return to shore.
- Inspected and approved equipment: all equipment is regularly inspected to ensure it meets current safety standards.
Students need only concentrate on learning and enjoying kitesurfing; the team takes care of the rest.

At Kite Obsession, we offer kitesurfing equipment hire in Tarifa for riders who haven’t brought their own gear or need to adapt their equipment to the day’s conditions. We have kites and boards of various sizes and specifications.

We provide all the equipment: wetsuits, harnesses, life jackets, helmets and, above all, kitesurfing gear – kites, bars and boards – from the best brands and of the highest quality, such as Cabrinha, Naish, Brunotti and O’Neill. What’s more, on private or semi-private courses, we’ll provide headsets so you can always hear your instructor.
The first and most important factor is the experience of our instructors, who will ensure your safety at all times so that you can enjoy yourself throughout.
We have new, high-quality equipment in perfect condition.
In addition, we have three rescue boats that will always be on hand to look after all students in the water.
And, of course, we hold the civil liability and accident insurance policies required by Tarifa Town Council in order to hold a kitesurfing school licence.
We’ll give you a refund, or rather, you only pay for the lessons you actually take.
